Indexing existing documents – Installing and Configuring IBM Content Search Services 5.5.10

16.1.11 Indexing existing documents
Existing documents, as shown below, can be reindexed with the latest IBM Content Search Service installed on ECMUKDEMO22. In 2019, the original deployment of IBM Content Search Service was on ECMUKDEMO21.
The Publications folder, Contents tab, Batch Operations action can be selected to reindex the selected Documents, as shown in Figure 16.63:

The Batch Operations Actions tab Index for content search is ticked as shown in Figure 16.64:

The pop-up window confirms a new index job has been created as shown in Figure 16.65:

The Index Job Manager node shows that our job has a status of In progress as shown in Figure 16.66:

In the highlighted Search node, we can select the Bulk Actions (Enabled) tab and tick the Enable tick box and select the Index for content search action, as shown in Figure 16.67:

The Text Search Subsystem tab allows the entry of additional index requests, which can be run, based on a Start Day and Start Time and Duration, as shown in Figure 16.68:

A New Time Period is entered after clicking on the New button in Figure 16.68, as shown in Figure 16.69:

The /mnt/hgfs/Installs/CSSShare index area now has a new indexed document created on January 10th, 2023 as shown in Figure 16.71:

The /mnt/hgfs/Installs/CSSShare2 index area had an indexed document created on November 4th, 2019 as shown in Figure 16.72:
