13.2 Installing Case Manager 5.3.3

Note: The above document describes the installation of the base version of Case Manager Version 5.3.3 on pages 444 to 465 of CaseManagerInstallationonRHEL8.0_V3.docx.
IBM Business Automation Workflow has replaced IBM Case Manager (see Chapter 7: IBM BAW 21.0.3 Upgrade Installation from BAW 18.6.1.19002). Case Manager 5.3.3 reaches End of Support (EOS) on 30th September, 2023. See the link:

The base version of IBM Case Manager V5.5.3 files can be installed to an installation directory but must be overlayed with updated file versions from the run of the latest IBM Case Manager V5.5.3. Version 11 Intermediate Fix Pack for Linux afterwards, before any configuration and deployments can be run.
The IBM Software Access Catalog is searched to locate the base IBM Case Manager V5.5.3 version as shown in Figure 13.58:

The search text is extended to find the eAssembly we need as shown in Figure 13.59:

The CJ3GJML eAssembly product code is opened to allow the software installation package selection for the IBM Case Manager 5.3.3 base version, as shown in Figure 13.60:

The Linux Java applet program, IBM Download Director is selected for installation and running as shown in Figure 13.61 from the FireFox browser pop-up window:

The status of the 3 files for download from the IBM website is shown in Figure 13.62:

The Details button shows the sizes of the 3 files downloaded, see Figure 13.63:

After downloading the installation file IBM_CASE_MANAGER_V5.3.3_LINUX_ML.tar.gz, the following steps are followed:
- From the Installs directory created earlier:
mkdir /opt/IBM/Installs/ICM_5_3_3 - Change to the new sub-directory created in a:
cd /opt/IBM/Installs/ICM_5_3_3 - Copy the Linux installation downloaded from IBM to the new installation folder:
cp /root/DownloadDirector/IBM_CASE_MANAGER_V5.3.3_LINUX_ML.tar.gz . - Unpack the TAR installation file using:
tar -zxvf IBM_CASE_MANAGER_V5.3.3_LINUX_ML.tar.gz - Run the IBM InstallAnywhere installation program for IBM Case Manager 5.3.3:
export IATEMPDIR=/opt/IBM/tmp/
./5.3.3.0-ICM-LINUX.BIN
Note: After this is installed, we move directly to section 9.7.2 (we cannot apply configmgr to the base IBM Case Manager installation, we have to run the Fix Pack first.)
